Welcome to My Blog!

My name is Daniel Wagstaff.

I was born in Leicestershire in the United Kingdom and I now live in what was once an old mining town in North West Leicestershire, called Coalville.

Two years ago I went from full time employment to a self employed, full time parent to three kids and one Schnauzer... most likely the reason you are here reading this blog!

Having to drastically rearrange my life and daily routine did take some getting used to but now having adjusted to the new norm, I wouldn't change it for anything. Spending more time with the children and walking Roscoe every day, beats spending 8 hours a day in an office for me.

Hello Roscoe

Meet Roscoe, our family dog.

Fussy teenager, furry baby and handsome boy are just some of the words that have been used over the years to describe this wonderful person trapped in a Schnauzer's body.

Roscoe's favourite things other than food and walks include, his bed, his blanket on the sofa and a tiny donut toy that remains to be one of the few things that he hasn't destroyed! We can only assume that it is too precious for him to ruin.

Puppy Roscoe

He is 9 years old, born on 22nd February 2015. He is a standard sized Schnauzer crossed with a terrier and we have had him from a pup.

My kids like the story of the day we got him. We had originally gone for a Chihuahua believe it or not, but little did we know, Roscoe had made other plans.

The breeder had suggested we look at a slightly bigger dog since we had two young children at the time, so she brought out a litter of pups and guess who was the only one interested in us...?

Proving that the dog really does choose you, not the other way around.

Roscoe's Moustache

So, now that you have an idea of who me and Roscoe are, let's get down to the reason I am making this website, my first book. Roscoe's Moustache is the title of this book and I am hoping it can be the first of a few ideas I have for Roscoe's adventures.

I have involved myself in many jobs and projects since leaving employment but this book is quickly becoming the most exciting. The book will soon be entering the illustration stage and in the mean time I will be creating social media content to allow you all to get to know Roscoe before the book gets released.

What next?

If you have read this far I appreciate your time and if you would like to follow this journey you can do so by subscribing to my email list at the bottom of my webpage or heading over to my social media channels and following those.

Thank you!
